Complete Business Continuity Programme
From risk analysis and BCP development through disaster recovery design, regular simulation testing, and staff awareness — a complete business continuity programme that ensures your organisation survives and recovers from any disruption.
Risk Analysis & Business Impact Assessment
Comprehensive risk identification and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to map threats, assess their likelihood and business impact, define Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives, and prioritise critical processes that must be protected first in your continuity programme.
BCP Development & Strategy Design
End-to-end business continuity plan development covering crisis response procedures, communication protocols, staff roles and responsibilities, alternate site strategies, and technology recovery playbooks — aligned with ISO 22301 and tailored to your specific operational requirements.
Testing & Live Simulations
Tabletop exercises, functional drills, and full-scale live failover simulations that test your plans under realistic conditions — identifying gaps before real incidents occur, validating that RTO and RPO objectives are achievable, and building team confidence in executing recovery procedures.
Documentation & Plan Management
Structured BCP documentation including plan repositories, version control, contact directories, vendor agreements, and recovery runbooks — with a governance framework ensuring plans are reviewed and updated regularly as your business, technology, and threat landscape evolve.
Continuous Monitoring & Evaluation
Ongoing BCP programme health monitoring including KPI tracking, lessons-learned integration after exercises or real incidents, regulatory change monitoring, and periodic management reporting — ensuring your continuity posture remains current and effective as your organisation grows.
Training & Awareness Programmes
Role-specific BCP training for executives, crisis management teams, IT staff, and all employees — ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities when a disruption occurs, can execute their recovery tasks confidently, and knows how to escalate and communicate during an active incident.
Business Continuity That Actually Works Under Pressure
Plans that sit on a shelf don't save businesses. We build, test, and embed continuity programmes that your teams can execute under real pressure — validated through live drills and refined continuously.
ISO 22301 Framework
Our BCP programmes are built on ISO 22301, the international standard for business continuity management — providing a globally recognised framework that satisfies auditors, regulators, customers, and cyber insurance underwriters.
Realistic RTO & RPO
We help you define Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives that are genuinely achievable given your technology and budget — then design recovery strategies and test them to validate you can actually hit your targets under real conditions.
People-First Planning
The best technology recovery plan fails without trained, informed people. We place equal emphasis on human factors — clear roles, communication trees, decision authorities, and welfare considerations — building continuity capability that your organisation owns.
Living Programme
A BCP is never finished. We establish a governance cycle of regular reviews, annual tests, and continuous improvement — incorporating lessons from exercises and real incidents to keep your plans effective as your business and threat landscape evolve.
Our Business Continuity Engagement Model
A structured four-phase approach that takes you from risk understanding through a tested, embedded BCP programme — with every phase building a foundation your organisation can sustain independently.
Assess & Analyse
Business Impact Analysis and risk assessment to understand which processes are critical, how long they can tolerate disruption, what threats are most likely, and what recovery objectives are realistic — the evidence base for everything that follows.
Design & Document
Develop recovery strategies, write BCP and disaster recovery plans, define crisis communication protocols, establish vendor and supplier contingencies, and build the complete documentation library your teams need to execute under pressure.
Test & Validate
Run tabletop exercises with leadership, functional drills with operational teams, and live failover simulations with IT — validating that plans work in practice, RTO and RPO objectives are met, and all participants know their roles.
Embed & Maintain
Train staff, establish governance and review cycles, integrate lessons learned, and provide ongoing programme maintenance — ensuring your BCP remains current, tested, and effective through organisational and technological change.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our Business Continuity Planning Services. Can't find your answer? Our BCP specialists are ready to help.
What is business continuity planning?
Business continuity planning is the process of creating systems, procedures, and strategies to ensure that critical business operations can continue or recover quickly during and after a disruptive event — whether a cyberattack, natural disaster, power failure, or supply chain disruption. A robust BCP identifies your critical processes, defines recovery objectives, documents response procedures, and keeps staff trained and ready to act.
What is the difference between BCP and disaster recovery?
Business continuity planning covers the entire organisation — how all critical business functions continue or recover during a disruption, including people, processes, facilities, suppliers, and communication. Disaster recovery is a subset of BCP focused specifically on restoring IT systems, applications, and data. A complete programme needs both: BCP to keep the business running, and a DR plan to recover the technology that business processes depend on.
What are RTO and RPO?
Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is the maximum acceptable time a system or process can be offline before the business suffers unacceptable harm. Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is the maximum acceptable amount of data loss measured in time — for example, an RPO of 1 hour means backups must be taken at least hourly so no more than 1 hour of data can be lost. Setting realistic RTO and RPO targets and designing recovery capabilities to meet them is central to effective BCP.
How often should we test our BCP?
ISO 22301 and most industry frameworks require at least annual testing. We recommend a tiered approach: quarterly tabletop exercises for crisis management teams, bi-annual functional drills for operational staff, and at least one full live failover simulation per year. Plans should also be tested after any significant business change, major IT infrastructure change, or following a real incident where the plan was activated.
Does BCP help with regulatory compliance?
Yes. Business continuity and disaster recovery requirements appear in PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, FCA regulations, and many other frameworks. Cyber insurers increasingly require evidence of a tested BCP before issuing or renewing coverage. Our BCP programmes produce the documentation, test evidence, and governance records needed to satisfy these requirements — mapping controls to specific regulatory obligations to simplify audit processes.
How long does it take to develop a BCP?
For a mid-size organisation starting from scratch, a complete BCP programme — covering risk assessment, BIA, plan development, documentation, and an initial tabletop exercise — typically takes 8–14 weeks. We prioritise critical functions first so you have protection for your highest-risk processes within the first few weeks, while the broader programme is developed in parallel. Simpler scopes and organisations with existing frameworks can move faster.
